Under the Veil extends this inquiry through repetition,situatingit within the condition of East Asian women: the weight of tradition and family, the simultaneous desire for art and freedom. Social and cultural layers become veils—at once enclosing walls and immovable boulders—that women must confront. Within this tension,creation itself becomes a call:a way to reawaken desire, recover authentic selfhood,and open fissures of freedom within the seemingly unbreakable cycles of repetition.
