House of Unending
2023

House of Unending reimagines the predicament of entrapment within a contemporary context, rooted in my lived experience as an East Asian woman residing in the UK. The work tells the story of a girl confined within an old house—a space that is at once architectural and psychological—symbolizing the closure and constriction of consciousness. Yet unlike poetic traditions that leave such entrapment unresolved, here spatial oppression becomes a point of departure: the girl encounters two possible future selves, and through mutual recognition and redemption, begins to search for an “exit.”
